Kicking off this month’s episodes, Sandra chats with Taylor Bryant, writer and editor for Beauty Independent which is a trade publication that covers primarily indie beauty brands and general happenings within the industry. Notably, Beauty Independent is the sole publication that covered the launch of Nopalera in November of 2020.
Taylor mostly covers BIPOC founders, the struggles they face, their accomplishments and wins and the white spaces they’re filling as well as topics around sustainability. Prior to Beauty Independent Taylor worked full time for Nylon, Refinery29 and freelanced at a handful of places including Teen Vogue, Fashionista, LA Times, Glamour and the Wall Street Journal.
Her journey through school and various fashion and beauty publications give her a wise perspective on the current and future state of the industry.
